The Unwritten Rules of Becoming a Physician was born from years of answering the questions I once had myself—the questions that almost never appear in textbooks, advising sessions, or on medical school websites.

These are things you only know about if you have exclusive access to someone willing to tell you the unspoken secrets. Becoming a physician requires a lot more than good grades and passing exams. 

There are lessons about networking, failure, finances, confidence, and simply learning how to navigate spaces you may have never been exposed to. Too often, these lessons are learned the hard way and for me it was no different. 

I wrote this book to share what I learned on my  journey; the mistakes, victories, setbacks, advice, and invaluable lessons I gleaned through trial and error, pain and tears.

The lessons in this book are ones I wish someone had taught me years ago, and my way of making the journey a little easier for the next generation.
